The state's flagship fashion event heads back to Detroit in October, closing with a runway finale inside the historic Harmonie Club.

Fresh off its first New York showcase, Michigan Fashion Week turns back toward home. The organization's 2026 Detroit season returns in October for its 14th year, spotlighting the state's designers, models, and creative community.

The scale

This year's Detroit season features more than 40 Detroit-based designers and some 150 runway models across a week of programming. Festivities are set to run October 11 through 17, building toward a headline finale on Saturday, October 17.

A historic finale

The closing show lands in a fitting setting: the historic Harmonie Club at 1420 Woodward Avenue, one of downtown Detroit's grand old buildings. Staging the finale inside a piece of the city's architectural heritage underscores the event's dual mission — showcasing new talent while rooting it in Detroit's history.

Building an industry

After more than a decade, Michigan Fashion Week has become the connective tissue of a local fashion scene that has long had creativity but needed structure. Pairing a New York showcase with a deepening Detroit season, the organization is making a steady case that Michigan's fashion industry is worth building — and worth watching. The runway returns to Woodward on October 17.
